Dr. Jerry Osteryoung is the Executive Director of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Florida State University and the Director of the Entrepreneurship Program. Additionally, Dr. Osteryoung is the Jim Moran Professor of Entrepreneurship and Professor of Finance.  Dr. Osteryoung has written eight books and his newest academic book entitled So You Need to Write a Business Plan! was published in 2003. Additionally, Dr. Osteryoung has written over 60 articles on entrepreneurial and finance subjects.

Dr. Osteryoung is very busy consulting with entrepreneurs throughout the state of Florida. Over the last ten years, he has directly assisted over 3000 entrepreneurs. Additionally, he has written a weekly article on entrepreneurship for the Tallahassee Democrat for over 3 years now since March of 2001 and is now writing a weekly column to answer entrepreneur's questions about startup businesses. His newest book, Jerry’s Recipes for Success – an Entrepreneurial Cookbook (published January 2004), is a compilation of 100 of his best articles.
